Patricia O`Connor

Pat O'Connor, Professor Emeritus of Sociology and Social Policy at University of Limerick (UL) and Visiting Professor, Geary Institute, University College Dublin (UCD). She has expertise in the area of change management at an organisational level (UL Impact Case study); at national level (member of the five person National Review on Gender Equality in Irish Higher Educational Institutions (June 2016)) and at cross-national level (EU funded FESTA project: 2012-17). Her 100+ publications include over 70 peer reviewed refereed journal articles. Her most recent book publication (co- edited with Kate White) is on Gendered Success in Higher Education: Global Perspectives (2017). Her research competencies lie particularly in that area as well as in the area of leadership and management, excellence, organisational cultures and masculinities/femininities. She has been a reviewer for a number of international research bodies and was Visiting Professor at the Universities of London, Linkoping, Aveiro, Deakin and Melbourne.
