On 24-25 March 2022 CHANGE partner from Slovenian organised workshop "Responsible science".
Workshop was led by Rea Roje, PhD student from Medical faculty of the University of Split. Moreover, Rea Roje is certificated data protection officer.
The objective of this workshop was to provide participants with the basic understanding of the principles of the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity (ECOC RI), as well as basic skills in implementing responsible research in practice. The presentations follow the good research practices outlined in the ECOC RI and the practical assignments take elements of virtue-based training for research integrity.
Workshop participants were introduced to such a terms as integrity, ethics and responsibility, which every year are more and more used in the science.
Scientific integrity is a particularly important guide for researchers, regardless of their level of expertise, but unfortunately, it is not talked about enough, and the discussion on integrity is almost completely missing during the course of study.
Workshop was composed of two parts: theoretical and practical, thus all the participants had the chance not only to gain theoretical knowledge, but also use them in practice.
