Portuguese Community of Practice meets in Ílhavo (Aveiro)

On October 21st 2022 the Portuguese team of the CHANGE project gathered a Community of Practice (CoP) to discuss  "Gender Equality Plans in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Portugal: Reflections and Challenges".
During the morning period, the CHANGE project and the Gender Equality Plan of the University of Aveiro (UAVR) were presented, following a debate and sharing of experiences about the implementation of Gender Equality Plans in Portuguese HEIs. After that, a Policy Paper on gender equality in HEI's decision making bodies and processes was presented and discussed.
In the afternoon, the focus was on work-life balance, with the presentation of the Linha 3UA project and conciliation actions to be implemented at UAVR and other HEIs in Portugal. The day ended with a reflection on the question "Which future for the Community of Practice?".
The meeting took place at the Montebelo Vista Alegre Hotel and was attended by academics and researchers from several Higher Education Institutions in Portugal.
